Data Deletion Instructions
Overview
When you connect your WhatsApp Business number to Covendor through Meta's platform, we receive and store certain data from Meta including your WhatsApp Business Account ID and phone number. This page explains how to request deletion of this data.
How to Delete Your Data
You have two ways to request deletion of your data:
Option 1 — Delete from your dashboard (instant)
- Log in to your Covendor dashboard
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section
- Click 'Delete Account'
- Confirm the deletion by typing DELETE
Your account and all associated data including your WhatsApp connection, products, orders, and invoices will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Option 2 — Email request
Send an email to: privacy@usecovendor.com Subject line: Data Deletion Request Include: the email address associated with your account and your WhatsApp Business phone number if applicable. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
Upon account deletion we will remove:
- Your account and profile information
- Your WhatsApp Business connection and access tokens
- Your product catalog and inventory data
- Your order and invoice history
- Your customer records
- Your conversation history with the AI bot
Payment transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and tax compliance purposes as required by Nigerian law.
Disconnecting WhatsApp Only
If you want to disconnect your WhatsApp number without deleting your entire account:
Your WhatsApp connection and access tokens will be immediately revoked. Your account, products, and order history will remain intact.
- Go to your dashboard
- Navigate to the WhatsApp settings page
- Click 'Disconnect'
